EAL Christmas Party

18 Dec 25

Our Year 9 EAL Ambassadors hosted a Christmas Party during lunch on Tuesday for students in the school that recently arrived in the UK and who speak English as an additional language. Our EAL group is a fantastic way for students to make new friends, share their own language and culture as well as get support in developing their English language skills. During the party, students were treated to mince pies, Christmas cakes and Christmas crackers as they shared their lunch break and listened to festive tunes. Thank you to Mr Davies and our EAL Ambassadors for organising the Christmas party.

The Friends of Sheldon School kindly provided funding for the EAL Christmas Party.

Sheldon gave me confidence in my abilities and supported my ambitions. Going to a state school has many benefits over private in terms of real-world experience and being friends with a varied group of students. This has helped me in my life since school.
