Guide Dog Visit

27 Nov 25

We had a special visitor to our Year 11 vocational class today. Chris Lovelock and Brock joined the class to speak to our students about Guide Dogs UK. Chris is a puppy raiser and ambassador for the charity. She spoke to the students about how new puppies are trained, how to interact with working dogs and how Guide Dogs can help improve the lives of people with visual impairments. Students learned more about the charity and how they support people with sight loss to be able to live active and independent lives. We loved meeting Brock, a very good boy who enjoyed a good sniff around the classroom before snoozing at the front of the class.

Sheldon gave me confidence in my abilities and supported my ambitions. Going to a state school has many benefits over private in terms of real-world experience and being friends with a varied group of students. This has helped me in my life since school.
